Open for a bit over 1 year now,Club de Capitanes/Captains Club de San Carlos is a new "harbor hangout", located one block east of Marina San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. We are about a half block south of Marina Terra Hotel on the opposite side of the road with great views of the marina and Tetakawe peaks.

San Carlos is located on the Sea of Cortez, 250 miles south of the US/Mexico border at Nogales, off of Mexico Federal Highway 15. It is one of the few places on earth where desert mountains end right at the sea. Bahia San Carlos provides one of the safest hurricane holes on the sea and the near by bays and caletas provide excelent sailing and exceptional anchorages, fishing and diving. Land based activities also abound in the nearby desert mountains and beautiful sandy beaches.

The "Club" is a Restaurant/Bar, open to everyone. We serve the coldest beer in town, BBQ grilled burgers, beer battered fish and shrimp tacos, and our famous Cahuamanta soup in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We also have daily specials that include a fish sandwich, Chile Rellenos, Pozole, crab tostadas, Bratwurst with saurekraut among other plates. We have a full bar with excellent Margaritas served by a friendly staff.

We offer a multitude of services to the cruising, sport fishing, and diving communities as well as the community of San Carlos in general. We  offer sport fishing, diving, and sailing trips, boat lettering and graphics, boat maintenance and repair,  purified water, propane drop off service and among other things. Wireless internet is also available. Phase II will be the beer garden with a palapa front and relaxed seating with lots of plants and shade. 

Luis Francisco "Pancho" Apericio is the artist responsible for painting many boat names, graphics, signs and murals around the marina and in homes in San Carlos. He also does carving in rock and wood. The quality of work and materials used are of high quality and all work is guaranteed.
